American Idiot - Green Day's Musical
I saw and experienced AMERICAN IDIOT, Green Day's new musical showing at the Berkely Rep Theatre tonight. It was very similar to SPRING AWAKENING, for so many reasons. I just know it will go to Broadway and win awards. A STANDOUT in my eyes was "St. Jimmy" played by Tony Vincent. Way cool. He will be so famous! Thank you Green Day.

BACK FROM NEW YORK CITY
I'm back from a week in New York City,
were it was 90 degrees and very muggy.
I'm very sad to leave the "summer" feeling,
but sort of,
relieved to be in "the fog" again.

VEGAS BABY!!!
I just spent a week with old friends in Las Vegas.
We stayed in a CASTLE with a pool. We all had our own bedroom with bath.
It was a "party house" cliche.
I loved the DRY heat and sun!! Finally, I feel the SUMMER.
Something that is greatly missed in Pacifica,
as it's always foggy and wet and cold and windy.
Ahhhhhh, the weather.

Jay's Place rocks!
I just found JAY'S PLACE, a funkie, blues, soul filled radio show on WDET, a public radio station in Detroit. The show is on Saturday Nights, from 7-10pm. DO TUNE IN! WOW, it will take you back and forward....and somewhere in between.
I'm listening to the show, LIVE, right now, for the first time....over my iphone - that's sitting on top of a cup, on my dinner table..... the cup is enhancing the sound from the very limiting speakers that are housed inside the iphone...lol. Gotta love technology.

Let Them Eat CAKE
Yummmm. Home made birthday cake. Well, there was a box involved. But, it was the real "add butter" version. Vanilla custard in the middle and on the top. Custard made on a burner. When the custard and the cake meld for a day or so, a new texture is introduced and one of my favorite combinations.
Home made whipped cream. Toasted almonds. Fresh strawberries.
