RED TEA is the New Green Tea

"Red Tea!
It's tea with an attitude, and completely caffeine free. Red Tea, the indigenous wonder herb of South Africa called Rooibos (ROY-boss), is full of polyphenois and flavonoids, which help protect the body from free-radicals that weaken natural defenses and eventually lead to aging and the onset of disease. Scientific studies indicate that drinking Red Tea daily can reward you with powerful antioxidants that help build the immune system and create a healthier, longer life."
(taken from the website at: www.republicoftea.com

My sister-in-law, Barb Lannen gave me my first teapot, in "green" of course (see photo) and turned me on to all these amazing teas. (and great soaps!)

Jay's Place rocks!

I just found JAY'S PLACE, a funkie, blues, soul filled radio show on WDET, a public radio station in Detroit. The show is on Saturday Nights, from 7-10pm. DO TUNE IN! WOW, it will take you back and forward....and somewhere in between.

I'm listening to the show, LIVE, right now, for the first time....over my iphone - that's sitting on top of a cup, on my dinner table..... the cup is enhancing the sound from the very limiting speakers that are housed inside the iphone...lol. Gotta love technology.

More on this great show soon....
till then check in and listen to: JAY'S PLACE

PRICELESS

Let Them Eat CAKE

Yummmm. Home made birthday cake. Well, there was a box involved. But, it was the real "add butter" version.
Vanilla custard in the middle and on the top. Custard made on a burner. When the custard and the cake meld for a day or so, a new texture is introduced and one of my favorite combinations.
Home made whipped cream. Toasted almonds. Fresh strawberries.
Moist and Delicious!

Vernal Equinox 2009
