Turning OFF the Facebook feature "Places":
On FB, go to your "account settings." Scroll down to privacy. Click
manage. Go to "Customize settings." Scroll down to "Places I check
into." Change it to "Only me." And uncheck the "Enable" box for "Include
me in People here now after I check in."
